D-Link DGL-4500

So I've had this router for over a year now, and while it's renowned for having some less than lush firmware updates, I find it to be a great router. A bit over priced? Sure. Its main features include USB hdd and printer sharing through a program supplied by D-link called Shareport, Gamefuel (which prioritized traffic for games), and a LCD display detailing network statistics and information.

Why am I not running DD-WRT on this? Godo question. Unfortunately the chipset in this is not supported by that firmware. Real drag. That said D-link's firmware is nicely put together and pretty feature rich. It even allows for remote GUI viewing as well. Although it does not allow this via telnet or ssh.

Still the signal strength coming off the radios are fantastic, even in this old all brick german house.

Today there are much better options, especially with my experience in networking these days, but for what it is, I felt the need to show it off a smidge.
